Breast augmentation is one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries we do in the US there’s about 350,000 cinemas each year that have a breast augmentation it’s a really fun well I say it’s a fun procedure to have maybe my patients will think differently they think they enjoy it after about three or four days when their discomforts better but it’s it’s a nice way to improve a patient’s of confidence self-esteem and quality of life we have some really great studies out I was part of one of them that shows that breast augmentation for women who want it will actually really improve their quality of life the results are really impressive I’d be happy to show them with you when you come for a consultation a couple of things that we do to maintain absolute patient safety with these procedures one is I use a funnel pretty much standard of care allows me to get that implant to the breast pocket and the safest way possible making a shorter scar minimizing trauma to the implant to the surrounding skin the second thing is we like to talk I’ll talk to my patients about the different than plain options but most importantly is assigning the right size for the patient and I spent a lot of time talking to patients about what their expectations are what their life is like at home and then Jim what fun activities like to do and what are their work life issues and when we take all those factors in account we come up with a perfect size for that patient
